Sleep: the Final Frontier

April 7, 2008 · No Comments

I was going to compose a jolly little essay for your reading pleasure, but I am too dizzy with happiness to safely carry all the hodfuls of words I would need to construct a sturdy paragraph. And why all this happiness, you ask? For no better reason than my finally having signed, sealed and delivered all of our 2007 tax info to our accountant. It is now his problem, not mine. The relief at passing on this loathsome task feels like a heady combination of Spring Fever, Thank-Gob-It’s-Friday, and “You-can’t-fire-me-I-quit!” all rolled into one exhuberant burst.

So, instead of the usual belles-lettres, here’s another charming drawing of mine. The picture above, like the picture in the previous post, was done for Lifeway Press’s kids’ magazine More, now, sadly, gone the way of all flesh-colored crayons.
